Money matters
Pricing is not too complicated. I just want a reasonable hourly wage for my efforts. However, I understand that potential clients wish a fixed price.
For € 290 ik make a litle head and shoulders portrait of 40 X 30 cm. A bit larger than life size and with a simple background. It will take me 8 to 10 hours. Unless it requires substantial travel or so. That would increase the price.
Size, number of persons and background, all of course have their influence on price. In short, the more complicated the picture, the higher the price.
Of course there are other factors at play. Such as, how eagerly you want to have the portrait and how eagerly I want to do it. If we are both very eager we shall certainly reach an understanding.
In case the client is not satisfied with the result there is no obligation to take delivery. However, I shall require a down payment of roughly 20% before starting the work, which will not be repaid. If I would discover that I am not able to satisfy my own standards I shall not deliver. Of course I will then refund the down payment.
Work I did not make in commission will in principle be for sale at any acceptable offer. Usually I shall indicate a price to save mutual embarassment before we start haggling.
