Self portraits
Self portraits form a touch stone. I try to do one or two each half year. Nothing is more revealing as a measuring stick for one's own development and progress

Double self portrait
2010Every year I paint at least one self portrait as a sort of touchstone to measure my progress. Painting on canvass in practical sizes restricts me in rendering texture and details. This is my first work on masonite which is a very hard and smooth board material. A new and rewarding experience. At the end of winter I was inspecting the garden when suddenly I was struck by my mirror image with background in one of the windows of our house.
